Original oil painting on canvas, depicting sunset over Kennington park/common. The rich warm colours contrast with the evening sky and greenery of Kenning Park. Painted from a council estate, the artist wanted to capture some of the magic and beauty of living on the cheaper side of the river as well as the threat of on going development on the horizon. Westminster can be seen peaking out from the trees in the distant, as well the oval stadium and on going development in Vauxhall.
